Mike Gruhn is originally from a small town in southern Arizona. After years of being surrounded by the desert heat and unusual friends, he developed a unique sense of humor.
Gruhn’s love for cartoons started by reading Sad Sack comics at the barber shop and enjoying the comics in the local newspaper he delivered for 5 years on his Schwinn bicycle (with the banana seat).
Gruhn moved to Texas in 1985, fulfilling his dream of moving to a very large state. He enjoys playing basketball, Mario Kart, and drawing cartoons. After years of working and raising kids, his family encouraged him to start WebDonuts in 2007. He still lives in the state where the lightning whelk is the official state shell with his wife, two dogs, a gnome, and on occasion….his two college aged children.
